Amsterdam, 31 December 2025 – Arena Aviation Capital has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of ten (10) Airbus A321-200 aircraft, operated by Vietnam Airlines. The aircraft, purchased from Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Joint Stock Company (“VALC”), represents Arena’s single largest transaction since its launch in 2013.
Erik Dahmen, Arena Chief Commercial Officer, states, “I congratulate the whole team on this monumental effort to get the deal closed on the brink of the New Year. It was immensely challenging at times; with cultural and structural complexities we had not experienced before. Having our local presence and legal support, very familiar with the Southeast Asia business culture, was key to this success.”
Patrick den Elzen, Arena CEO, added, “I could not be prouder of the way my team kept pushing this transaction forward, despite the ever-increasing time pressure and drain on company resources. I am also grateful to our new airline customer, Vietnam Airlines, whose professionalism, and flexibility were instrumental in this process. 2025 ended up being a great year for Arena, and I look forward to building further on this in the New Year!”
